Our team partnered with Amazon to assist their Glamazonian team to create a float for this year's DC pride festival. The theme of this years parade was “totally radical”. We paid homage to the 80s and 90s with a giant boom box structure, fitted with memphis style decor, retro televisions and neon colors to work within our theme "Video Killed the Radio Star". The one and only DJ Mim was on stage aboard the float playing some of the best hits of the 80s and 90s.
As creative lead I was tasked with the initial concepting of the float as well as designing the t-shirts, totes and chapsticks. We worked in tandem with a renderer and a fabrication team to get the float created. It was a great day to be on site, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.
